What happens in the chair.
Clippers down to the skin, then razor, hot towel and balm.
-
Clippers first
The clippers take everything down to the skin. This is where the Buzz stops and the headshave carries on.
-
Hot towel
A hot towel over the scalp, to soften what is left and open the skin before a blade goes near it.
-
The razor
A cut throat razor over the top, with the grain and then across it. This pass is the whole difference: a clipper leaves stubble you can feel with a hand, a razor does not.
-
Balm to finish
Balm at the end. A scalp that has just been shaved is skin, and it gets treated like skin.
Is it the one you want?
Book it if
A clean scalp rather than a short one, and anyone running a clipper who has decided stubble is not the look. Half an hour, and you can feel the difference with a hand.
Book something else if
Keeping a clipper length. That is the Buzz at $40 and twenty minutes, one length all over and cleaned up around the ears and the neck. The razor is the only thing the extra $20 buys, and it either matters to you or it does not.

Questions.
How is a headshave different from the Buzz?
The Buzz is one length all over with a clipper, cleaned up around the ears and the neck, 40 dollars and about 20 minutes. The headshave takes the clippers down to the skin and then goes over the top with a cut throat razor, with a hot towel and balm to finish, 60 dollars and about 30 minutes. The razor is the difference, and it is the difference between short and smooth.
Is it the same razor as the cut throat shave?
The same razor, a different place. The classic shave is the face, 65 dollars and about 45 minutes with pre-shave oil, hot towels and a cold finish. The headshave is the scalp, 60 dollars and about 30 minutes. There is no row on the price list that sells both together, so they are two services and two prices.
The other four.
- Haircuts Consult, shampoo at the basin, scissor and clipper work, hot towel finish. from $40
- Cut throat shave Cut throat razor, hot towels, pre-shave oil and a cold finish. $65
- Beard trim and shaping Line up, trim and tidy so the beard keeps its shape another month. from $35
- Camo colour Grey blending that softens the line rather than erasing it. $50

Two Georges is unhurried, great music is playing and a handshake and a cold beer is always offered. Tommy has always nailed my beard trims, and you can tell he cares about the quality work he does. It is a place that feels distinctly Fremantle.
Relaxed, quiet and well designed compared to busier barbers with loud tunes, screens or nowhere to sit. They treat you like proper mates, taking the time to talk through your cut or long term goals. My new favourite spot in Freo and Perth.
On holiday from the US and in desperate need of some cleanup, we walked into Two Georges and immediately felt the relaxed vibe. Tommy connected right away on what I wanted. So, for any girls looking for a great barber cut, this is the place.
Tommy is running a very tidy operation here. Beautiful space, vibes are immaculate and the cuts are always to the highest standards. Full Fremantle experience in there with the red brick and the most hospitable service.
