Questions and answers
Before you book
Where exactly is The Two Georges in Fremantle?
We are at 16A Bannister Street, Fremantle 6160, in the West End. Come through the red brick archway with the ivy over it. There is a red and white barber pole beside the timber door. Bannister Street runs off High Street and we are about halfway down on the left.
Do I need to book, or can I walk in?
Booking online is the safe way to get the barber and the time you want, and it takes about a minute. Walk-ins are welcome when a chair is free, but there are two chairs in a small room, so we cannot promise one.
How much is a haircut, and how long does it take?
A haircut without a wash is 65 dollars and takes about 30 minutes. With a wash at the basin it is 80 dollars and about 45 minutes. The Buzz is 40 dollars and about 20 minutes. Every service shows its price and its time on the price list.
Do you still do cut throat shaves?
Yes. A classic shave is 65 dollars and runs about 45 minutes with a cut throat razor, hot towels, pre-shave oil and a cold finish. Booked with a haircut it is 130 dollars and takes about an hour and a half.
Who runs the shop?
Paul Howard, one half of George and Ivy in Fremantle, opened The Two Georges in 2025. Tommy and Jack work alongside him: three barbers across two chairs, on rotation. Between them the George and Ivy record includes six Australian hair industry award wins since 2018, and the shop itself was a finalist for Best Barbershop Design at the 2026 ANZ Modern Barber Awards.

What does it cost, and how do I pay?
Every price on the list is in Australian dollars and includes GST, and it is the price you will see at the register. Payment is by card at the counter. Nothing on the menu carries a surcharge for a particular barber.
What is the difference between beard shaping and a beard restyle?
Shaping keeps the shape you already have: lines set at the cheek and the neck, trimmed back to length, twenty minutes and 35 dollars. A restyle changes it: taken back and set on a new line, thirty minutes and 60 dollars. If you are growing one out or starting again, book the restyle.
Which barber should I book?
Tommy takes the long way round a haircut and is the one to book if you want the shape talked through first. He also does the scissor work, the fades and the grey blending. Paul does the cut throat shaves, the classic cuts and the consults. Jack does the mullets, the beard restyles and the skin fades. All three work the same two chairs on rotation and take their own bookings.
What is a camo colour?
Grey blending. Colour matched to what is already there and blended through the grey so it softens the line rather than erasing it, then rinsed and dried. It is 50 dollars and takes about 30 minutes.
When are you open?
Tuesday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm, and Saturday 8am to 4pm. Closed Sunday and Monday. The last appointment of the day has to finish by closing, so a cut and shave at an hour and a half needs to start earlier than a buzz does.
Do I have to have a beard to come in?
No. Three of the ten services never touch a beard, and the Buzz, the headshave and the camo colour are the shortest bookings on the list. We are a barbershop and the menu is barbering, and anyone who wants that work is welcome in the chair.
Anything not answered here, send it through and a real person will come back to you. Or book the haircut with wash and we will talk it through in the chair.
