Getting here from Palmyra.

Palmyra backs onto East Fremantle on one side and White Gum Valley on the other, which makes it a Fremantle suburb in everything but the council.

By car

Canning Highway runs through Palmyra and ends in Fremantle. Close to one road the whole way, about ten minutes.

By bus

No station in Palmyra. The Canning Highway and Marmion Street buses run into Fremantle station. Check Transperth for times.

Finding the door

Bannister Street runs off High Street, about halfway down on the left. No street frontage and no sign: come through the red brick archway with the ivy over it, and the barber pole is beside the timber door.

What is at the other end.

Two chairs and three barbers on rotation, under the original beams of an 1890s West End warehouse. These are the five people come in for.

Tommy, Paul, Jack work the two chairs on rotation and each takes his own bookings. Haircuts start at $40, a cut throat shave runs the full 45 minutes, and every price includes GST.

Book a chair.

Online takes about a minute and it is the safe way to get the barber and the time you want. Walk in if a chair is free, but there are only two of them.

Reviews from Fremantle

5.0 on Google

Two Georges is unhurried, great music is playing and a handshake and a cold beer is always offered. Tommy has always nailed my beard trims, and you can tell he cares about the quality work he does. It is a place that feels distinctly Fremantle.

Adam Nicholson Beard maintenance

Relaxed, quiet and well designed compared to busier barbers with loud tunes, screens or nowhere to sit. They treat you like proper mates, taking the time to talk through your cut or long term goals. My new favourite spot in Freo and Perth.

Joel Jackson Local Guide

On holiday from the US and in desperate need of some cleanup, we walked into Two Georges and immediately felt the relaxed vibe. Tommy connected right away on what I wanted. So, for any girls looking for a great barber cut, this is the place.

Bette Horning Visiting from the US

Tommy is running a very tidy operation here. Beautiful space, vibes are immaculate and the cuts are always to the highest standards. Full Fremantle experience in there with the red brick and the most hospitable service.
